ANTONI WASILEWSKI
(1903 - 1966)

Studied at the Higher Industrial School in Cracow. Attended lectures at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts and studied with Mehoffer. In 1947 continued his studies in Edinburgh. Worked as painter, graphic artist, poster designer, illustrator and satirical cartoonist. Made his debut as caricaturist in the Lviv Szczutek.

Since 1930 chief editor of Wróble na Dachu, where he published most of his drawings. Contributed to Cyrulik Warszawski and to the daily press. During the war, contributed to English and Scottish magazines. After his return contributed to Szpilki and Przekrój.
