Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Worked as poster designer, book illustrator, interior desinger, stage designer and cartoonist. Professor in poster desing at the Warsaw Academy. Made his debut as caricaturist in Szpilki in 1936. Published his works in Stańczyk, Rózgi (chief editor), Przegląd Kulturalny, Literatura, Przekrój, Odrodzenie. Awarded many prizes, among others the Golden Pin (złota szpilka) in 1969.
