Graduated from the Warsaw Higher School of Journalism (1931) the Warsaw Academy of Fina Arts (1934). Caricaturist, satirical artist, book illustrator, playwriter, children's books illustrator. Lecturer and Rector of the Film School in Łódź. Made his debut in Pobudka in 1926. Contributed to Cyrulik Warszawski, Wróble na Dachu, Rózgi, Mucha, Szpilki before the war and after the war to Kultura and Literatury. Awarded the State Award in the Satire field in 1950 and twice the Gold Pin (złota szpilka) in 1966 and 1968 and the Gold Pin with Laurel (złota szpilka z wawrzynem) in 1977.
