Studied at the Higher Art School in Poznań and at the Warsaw Academy of Fina Arts (diploma with prof. E. Eibisch). Worked as satirical caroonist and excelled as portrait caricaturist. Made his debut in 1945 in Głos Wielkopolski. Contributed to such Polish magazines as Express Poznański, Kurier Wielkopolski, Szpilki, Mucha, Tygodnik Kulturalny, Polityka, Stolica and foreign magazines like Eulenspiegel (East Germany), Atlas (USA), Literaturnaja Gazeta (USSR), Pardon (Germany). Awarded the Special Satyrykon Prize and the Silver Pin (srebrna szpilka) in 1978.
