Born in Warsaw. Studied Law at the Warsaw University and paintinga in the Art School in Warsaw. He also studied in France, having received a scholarship from the National Culture Foundation. Worked as metal artist, painter, jewellery designer, cartoonist, book illustrator, poet. Made his debut as caricaturist in Szpilki in 1936. Awarded the Golden Cross of Merit in 1947 and in 1950 the Commandor Cross of Order Odrodzenia Polski. Later in life published a selection of his own poetry.
