Studied at the Gdańsk Polytechnic, the Higher State Art School in Gdańsk and at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Made his debut in Szpilki in 1970, creating the series 'Dudi', featuring the bird creature of his invention. Contributed to Kultura, Ty i Ja, Polityka. Presently publishes weekly his creature 'Pokraka' in Tygodnik Powszechny. Awarded the Bronze Pin (brązowa szpilka) in 1973. Has lived in New York since 1980, where he works as successful graphic designer, poster designer and painter.
