ANDRZEJ CZECZOT

Studied in Katowice at the Faculty of Graphics, branch of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. Works as painter, graphic artist, book illustrator, press cartoonist and author of film animations. Made his debut as caricaturist in Szpilki in 1956. Contributed for many years to such magazines as: Polityka, Polska, Ty i Ja, Problemy, Literatura, Pardon, New Yorker. Awarded three times the Golden Pin (złota szpilka). Emigrated to the USA in 1981. Since 1993 has been contributing regularly to Polityka and Nie.
