Studied painting at the Art School in Warsaw. Graduated from the faculty of Paintingm, Ceramics and Graphic Art at the Cracow Academy of Fien Art. He made his debut as caricaturist in Wróble na dachu in 1938. Contributed to Szpilki, Dziennik Polski, Echo Krakowa, Przekrój, Gazeta Krakowska, Film, Świat and Życie Literackie.
